Oregon is perhaps most famous because of the Willamette Valley, which features Pinot Noir. While Willamette is dominated by Pinot Noir, then Chardonnay; Pinot Gris, Gewurtztraminer and Riesling are also found there. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay will continue to remain the region's most widely planted grapes, as Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc ripen too late to be viable. Pinot Noir from Oregon is often extremely aromatic, evoking not only cherries and other berries, but often scents of mushroom, earth, forest floor, vanilla and sandalwood. Though there are many fine examples of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris in Oregon, Pinot Noir remains the elegant king.

Light on its feet, swirling its ripe blueberry, currant and mineral flavors over refined tannins and a fragile structure that lets the finish hover enticingly. Drink now through 2018. 513 cases made.

Fresh Bartlett Pears come to mind when you first inhale the delicious aroma. At first taste, it is light, refreshing, and a little fruity with a light finish. A little spritz on the finish. Delicious with wild sockeye salmon. This Pinot Gris was made exclusively from grapes grown in the Willamette Valley. Similar in style to the Pinot Grigio's from Italy.

A zesty and floral nose gives way to flavors of pink grapefruit and white peach. The slight sweetness of this wine matches its crisp acidity perfectly. The inherent spiciness of this grape variety is unmistakable and a charming compliment to spicy or Asian fare. Gewurztraminer is also a well-known partner to turkey and chicken.

On the sweet side, with lemon and cream flavors running through its supple structure, finishing with some length. Lovely as an apertif or with a wide variety of light foods including salads, shellfish, and seafood.

Few wines can match lighter fare as well as Pinot Gris. Its crisp and juicy fruit character is so perfectly balanced. This wine comes from grapes planted in the gently rolling hills of the middle Willamette Valley. The soil is intensely red and high in minerals; the vineyards are slightly elevated in altitude, putting them in the path of constant colling breezes. These factors imbue this wine with complexity and backbone.

A long cool awesome vintage. Heightened minerality. White stone fruit, you know, apricot, nectarine, peach also satsuma and lime leaves. This girl is kickass as ever!

91 pts Jay Miller. The 2008 Pinot Noir Domaine ups the ante with greater complexity, dense, layered fruit, and a lengthy, seamless finish. This deep garnet red Pinot Noir brings an aroma of cherries, cranberries, cocoa spice eucalyptus, cola and dried rose petals. The tastes shows notes of strawberry and blueberry with hints of vanilla and caramel.
