"Starlight Distillerys Reserve Brandy is made from our finest estate-grown grapes. We keep to old world tradition by aging the spirit in French oak barrels for a minimum of 5 years. This adds rich structure and complexity to compliment the bold fruit bursting out of each glass."
"95 Points- Wine Advocate. Big, weighty and mouth filling, this is an aromatic Tawny that finishes with acidity and tension. Gripping on the finish, its flavors become more interesting as long as it sits in the glass (or on your palate). Comparing to the Taylor 30, the 30 is a bit fleshier while this 40 is a bit more concentrated in flavor and aromatics. Perhaps some additional age also helped this 40 combat some of the aggression on the 30. It is still a fine experience and my favorite of the group. Drink between 58-62 degrees Fahrenheit."
"The 2007 Fonseca is maturing nicely, with a perfumed, high toned, rich bouquet of macerated black cherries, blueberry, creme de cassis and vanilla. The palate is very harmonious with plush dark cherry fruit, fresh fig, salted licorice and a supple, rounded, spicy finish that delivers wonderful purity and length."
"Peppery aromas, with lots of crushed berries. Medium- to full-bodied, with light sweetness and a soft, round tannic structure. Not on the same level as the fabulous 2000. Best after 2010. 3,000 cases made. 90 pts. - WS"
"93 pts Wine Advocate The purple/black 2011 Quinta do Roriz Vintage Port displays a pleasing perfume of violets, incense, spice box, and assorted black fruits. On the palate it has excellent volume with plenty of round, layered, succulent fruit and an overall friendly personality. Impeccably balanced, this mid-weight Port will evolve for 10-12 years and drink well through 2027."
"89-92 WS Very pretty aromas of blackberry and dark chocolate, with hints of green leaf. Excellent nose. Medium- to full-bodied, with medium chewy tannins and a fresh finish. Medium sweet. Needs a little more grip on the palate and finish."
"This is a ruby port which has a ruby red color, is full-bodied, fruity and sweet. Good served with cheeses or as an after dinner drink."
"96 pts. - WS Lots of grape and raisin on the nose. Full-bodied, chewy and lightly sweet. Serious concentration, with lots of grip on the finish. Just what to expect from a young Vintage Port. Best after 2012. 12,000 cases made."
"Very complex, with intense aromas of squeezed tangerine, blackberry and blueberry. Full-bodied, medium sweet and chewy. Extracted yet balanced, with an intense fruity and grapey character. Tight and reserved on the finish. Best after 2015."
"Very dark purple in color, almost black, its aroma focuses on black fruit, plums and prunes. Sweet fruit, tart acidity, alcoholic warmth (this fortified wine contains 19.5% alcohol) and smooth but substantial tannins come together on the palate in a dessert wine that's bold but not as fierce or unapproachable as a youthful Vintage Port."
