"Very lemony and pretty, with floral undertones. Full bodied, with medium sweetness and a good density of fruit. Offers a spicy dried mushroom and botrytis finish. Nicely done for this estate."
"94 to 96 pts. Robert Parker The refuge of the Lur Saluces family after selling their beloved Yquem, this is an Yquemlike wine that sells for a fraction of the price fetched for the most famous wine of the region. Rich, honeyed citrus along with creme brulee, vanillin, sweet caramelized pineapple and citrus notes are followed by a wine with an unctuously thick, viscous, full bodied mouthfeel, but with good enough acidity to balance out the wines enormous weight, richness, and concentration. This should be a 30+ year wine."
"The nose takes time to coalesce in the glass, very pure with honey, white peach, Turkish Delight honeysuckle, and beeswax. The palate is beautifully balanced, still with some oak to be subsumed, but has great depth and precision. This is a confident, almost ambitious Suduiraut with great power and intensity towards the botrytis-rich, viscous finish that is endowed with great persistency. Lovely. Drink now-2030."
"95 Points- Wine Spectator. This is really attention-getting, with a seamless toasted coconut note weaving through lush tarte tartine, creamed apricot and heather flavors. As exotic as the flavors are, they are tightly focused and framed by a mouthwatering date note, with a long, mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2030."
"92 pts Robert Parker A flamboyant display of smoky oak, buttered peach and caramelized pineapples and orange marmalade notes are impressive. On the palate, the wine exhibits a multi-dimensional, textured, full-bodied style with terrific fruit, depth, and some toasty oak in the background. This is a big, blockbuster style of Sauternes to drink over the next 20-25 years."
"92 pts. - WS A bouquet of pure, fine, and mature aromas of peach, pear, honey, and citrus fruits with spices that lightly lace its mellow texture. Tasty, even more refined than it usually is."
"93 Robert Parker The Clos Haut Peyraguey 2007 has an expressive nose with notes of clear honey, apricot, fig and a touch of walnut: very well defined and natural. The palate is quite racy and spicy with ginger inflecting the mandarin, pear, marmalade and apricot fruit. It displays superb weight and persistency towards the finish with just a faint tang of ginger lingering on the aftertaste. Excellent. Drink now-2025"
"93 pts. Robert Parker The Guiraud 2007 has a typically unabashed, exuberant bouquet with tangerine, pear, white peach and honeysuckle. The palate is medium-bodied with a lovely viscous entry, very good weight of fruit, and a lot of botrytis; smooth and very harmonious towards the finish that would benefit from a little more clarity and dare I say, personality. Still, a very fine Sauternes. Drink 2012-2035."
"95 Points- Wine Advocate. Possesses aromatics of beeswax and lanolin merging with honeyed fruit, dried quince and marzipan. The palate is medium-bodied, viscous, a dash of spice on the entry with very good weight in the mouth. There is still that lovely saltiness on the finish that leaves you begging for another sip - completing a long-term Yquem that is only just finishing its first couple of chapters. Tasted April 2016."
"93 pts. Robert Parker The 2007 Lafaurie-Peyraguey has fulfilled all my expectations since its impressive primeur showing. It is has a light, succinct nose with white peach, pear, apple-blossom and a touch of chalk dust. Good definition, although it needs a little more vitality. The palate is superb: very vibrant on the entry, marmalade, quince, mandarin and a touch of ginger, just a little disjointed towards the finish, good length. Time in bottle will allow this to coalesce. Drink 2014-2030"
