Combining Old-world style tannins with New World style fruit is one of the things Cape wines do best. This example has characteristic Stellenbosch minerality, structure and depth, but with some delightful ripe red fruit & cherries -and an overall balanced nature with a supple texture which promotes easy drinkability.


It is a collage of the five classic Bordeaux red varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. In the glass, it offers dark plum, black cherry, and blackberry aromas along with a plush, velvety texture and succulent midpalate flavors. Its finish is impressively long and enhanced by well-integrated tannins.


The classic taste of black currant in cabernet contrast perfectly with the plummy fruit of merlot to form a delicious wine of distinction and style. A small proportion of this wine receives oak maturation to add greater structure to the flavors and finish.
