Scents of ripe mulberry, toasted walnut, and peat moss rise from the glass. The mouthfeel here is rich for a Loire red as befits the vintage and suggestions of iodine, moss, cardamom, bitter dark chocolate, and pepper make for considerable complexity, leading to an understated but persistent finish. While this is delicious today, it should prove versatile for at least another 12 to 18 months List $18.99
