After spending 18 months in barrel this wine aromatically is all about orange blossom, lemon custard, bitter almond, cinnamon and slightly saut?ed vanilla bean in butter and glazed in heavy cream. The flavors are a little tighter, but the glycerol levels are out of control. Honeysuckle, acacia flowers and marzipan with jut a touch of dried apricot and peach that are set in motion by the mineral back bone of the wine.

The plump, oily-textured 2004 Marsanne \ufffd Roussanne Cuvee Tradition Vin de Pays d'Oc (White) contains substantially more Marsanne (70%) in its blend but it is the Roussanne that dominates its aromatic as well as flavor profiles. Ripe white peaches and apples are laden with spices in both this wine's nose and mouth. This light to medium-bodied excellent value should be drunk over the next year.
