The 2009 Vernaccia di San Gimignano is a delicious white with lovely varietal character and fine balance at this level. It is best enjoyed over the next year or so, while the fruit is vibrant.

A grape once in steep decline, Vernaccia enjoyed a reversal of fortunes in the 1960s and was granted its own DOC in 1966. This is a graceful example displaying floral aromas and generoud, fleshy fruit on the palate with touches of fresh pear and herbs.
