Special Club is an organization made up of Champagne's to growers. They meet every year to blind taste each others wines. The very best are sold exclusively in the Special Club packaging and made in tiny quantities. These are some of the very best bottles in the region, vintage after vintage. The 2013 Margaine Spécial Club is a delicious, 100% Chardonnay wine from the Montagne-de-Reims. After the luxuriously rich and powerful 2012s, the 2013 is a more classically styled Champagne, lighter and brighter with more acidity and a distinct saline minerality. Ripe lemon, tart orchard fruit, and toasty pastry come through on the palate, providing a perfect harmony of texture and energy.
