HISTORY:
Kahn's on Keystone was founded in 1979 by Carroll & Louise Kahn and they are the reason we are here today. Putting forth countless hours of hard work and determination, demanding perfection from their staff, Kahn's quickly became the place to buy fine wine in Indiana. From 1984-1987, I worked for a fine wine importer and was lucky enough to become great friends with Louise. In 1987 Louise passed away and Carroll was looking for someone to help him run the business. By the next summer, Carroll called me and offered a partnership position in the store and I jumped at the opportunity. In 1995, I bought out Carroll in the 7th year of the partnership, always having a vision of "Fine Wine & Fine Foods" together in one place. In December of 1996, that dream came true with the opening of Indiana's premier gourmet store - Kahns Fine Wine Marketplace. Realizing my limitations, I was intelligent enough to know I needed a partner to run the food. I had an 8 year admiration for the knowledge of a good friend - Joe Husar, who had spent his last 8 years as the top hotel food and beverage director in Indianapolis. With my drinking ability, and Joe's eating ability... a partnership was born. What came next... you need click no further to see for yourself.
