GIBBS DIAMOND MTN DIST CAB SAUV 2015 750ML

There are quite a few words we could use to describe this wine, but if we had to pick one it would be structure. This is the first wine we have made from the Diamond Mountain District and we are blown away by the structure, depth, and complexity it shows even at this young age. Cigar box, roasted herbs, and spice intertwine with fleshy red fruits, mocha, graphite, and slate. As with all stellar mountain Cabernets, it’s the powerful tannic core that simultaneously frames and drives these complex flavors; creating a killer wine that is only getting better with each day. We’ve gone ahead and done some of the cellaring for you, but we highly recommend laying this wine down for at least a few years. For those of you who can wait a little longer, it will easily sit for 6 – 10+ years. (August 2021)
