Deeply concentrated yet focused, with highlights of tobacco, mocha, and blackberry in the nose. Broad and rich with a soft opening of savory blackberry, red currant, fresh herb, and chocolate flavors. The generous use of new French oak marries perfectly with the ripe fruit and leads to a finish showing vanilla and toasty caramel. (08/2022)

Savory cocoa powder and sandalwood to the blackberries, olives, dried herbs and pine cones. A hint of red chili pepper, too. Very full-bodied red, packed with powerful, granular tannins that will need time to soften. Extracted, a little chewy and heady, but luckily this is still juicy and very long, with lots of creamy oak. A bit obvious, but shows quality, too. Needs at least two or three years to come together. Drink after 2024.
