This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 18 months in 55% new French oak. The Quicksilver Vineyard, a 10.11ha estate site with well-draining loam soils, is located on the western Rutherford Bench, just off Bella Oaks Lane near Staglin and Bella Oaks. The wine is beautifully aromatic, with a perfumed bouquet of rose petals, lilacs, and loamy earth, complemented by rich boysenberry or muddled açaí berry fruit, intertwined with leather and tobacco spices. Medium to full-bodied, it features juicy plum and velvety fruit supported by satiny tannins and a core of crushed stone minerality. The wine’s fragrance is striking, with an intensity of perfumed purple and red florals carrying through to the finish. Robust and powerful, it strikes a balance between good intensity and perfectly ripe character, making it a compelling and expressive Cabernet Sauvignon.
