Richly spiced and expressive, showing fine definition to the texture. This offers an array of spiced plum, white raspberry, toasted almond and a hint of brioche. Mouthwatering, with a clean, zesty finish.

I did not yet taste the recently released 2006 so far, but the salmon-colored 2005 Palmes d'Or Vintage Brut Rosé is in a good shape today. The assemblage of Pinot Noirs from Bouzy and Riceys comes along as a full-bodied, round and aromatic rosé de saignée with precise dark, red berry and wild cherry flavors mingled with floral aromas. Fruit intense yet also very delicate and elegant on the broad and intensely flavored palate, with nicely fresh and floral aromas, this generous, smoothly textured cuvée reveals a good finesse, freshness, and a lovely purity in the long and aromatic finish. There is a very fine tannin structure in this supple, elegant and charmingly harmonious wine, which makes it a delicious champagne not only for aperitifs or lobster, but also with fine beef or even mild hard cheeses.
